Dear Hedda,
Received yesterday your letters 2&3 november. This APO is funny sometimes very fast some others not. Glad to hear that your [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] exibt went all right and I'd like to hear more details about it. I'm expecting today some more mail from you and eventually your picture. I received from the New Yorker the clipping with that horrible drawing of the big A letter at the optician - It's an old old drawing, made maybe two years ago or more, where I made transition from my european style to the New Yorker's and it sure is a very stupid drawing. It's too bad; it isn't entirely Avita's fault, the New Yorker asked for drawings just to keep my stuff in the issues so he gave them all the scrap he had there - I hope they wont do that again, drawings like those don't do me any favor. Anyway I sent them lately enough material to have for a while. Avita wrote me again about the book and I'm afraid he'll make some silly combination.
