Dear Heddina,

No mail from you yet and who knows when I'll get some now that I'm leaving. Today I was much in love with you and I made drawings the whole afternoon. I'm sending you a few - The, let's call them printable, ones - I made about you. I didn't get the picture you sent me long ago but I still hope to get it some time. The mail is funny I received a letter from you in 10 days once, a Christmas card. and then next one come in in 29 days that's APO. The ONI mail is terrible, it makes from 5 to 8 weeks or more or sometimes gets lost.

I'm in a hurry packing because I may leave any moment but things here are such that I may stay here longer than that. I don't mind leaving, a change will do me good after 5 months in China. I'm expecting to be back here though after I finish my business in the [[strikethrough]] other [[\strikethrough]] place I'm going.

It means a lot to me to know that you have now & then good [[crossed out]] thoughts [[\crossed out]] feelings about me and write me and care for my blades and my drawings. Remember the day I came from Washington and you gave up the second part of the concert because I was arriving at 10 o'clock and from my part I was waiting in the station up to [[crossed out]] 10 [[\crossed out]] 1130 or so to give you the chance
