I received a very fast letter from you couple of days ago and yesterday a drawing from the New Yorker also arrived in 8 days which is very fast. I like that drawing - the little girl playing violin and the mother crying. Have you seen it? I told you, that used to do my mother when I was playing the violin as a kid. Don't worry about me, war is not as bad as people in New York think about. I had some special experiences with some danger envolved but thanks God I made it and I sure was glad to be sound and fine afterwards I have fine people around and many times is amusing to spend the evening talking When I'll have more time I'll make a good drawing of the convoys, trucks, guns, tanks, rolling in a long snake line up in the mountains, all mixed with reffuggee vehicles and bicicles and just people in a wonderful place, mountains and hills with every top of hill covered - right on top - by a village of small houses and in the center a baroque church with tower I think even that this sort of scenary which is beautiful in reality will turn out to be corny in a drawing, too much like cheap style-imagination-
