Dear, I received now a couple of Vmails from you. The mail has improved remarquably , lately I received letters from you that arrived from Nevada in 7-8 days. That's good.
About you going to visit California after Nevada. I think don't miss the oportunity and go to see it and have a good time and this business of moving around all the time is sometimes silly and unpleasant, sometimes pleasant and not silly ( I'm silly today, it's monday afternoon and warm and after lunch, half asleep in this stupid barrack in this stupid city) I told you that I'm now a lt (jg) I bought a few days ago the gold braid and I'm now going around with my rank on my shoulder, collar and sleeve. The navy summer uniform has changed and I'm one of the few with the old khaki yet. The new uniform as you saw is the blue gray. I didn't take much uniform with me when I left [[strikethrough]] from [[/strikethrough]] For China because I though I won't need it there and I didn't need it there but I need it here
