Dear Toshiko - the first week of school is over and it looks pretty good - I'll be busy but it should work out if I can get back to a good schedule of my own work - I did get quite a bit done at home - The family had a nice Christmas and it was pleasant to see my sister and her children tho' confidentially I was glad not to have her there for the whole time - the family has heard from my brother finally and he is all right so that takes some psychic pressure off - my little trip East did me a lot of good and it was a joy to see you and your new environment - I love the town and your habitat and feel good about it all - but do watch those icy steps and I still feel that you need to push a lot of the heavy chores off on someone else - do take care of yourself and I feel sure that your work will go well now that you have gotten oriented - thanks for the fine pot - it is full of yellow blooms right now - I did not deliver the Evans pot yet as there was no answer the several times I called but I dropped her a note and I'll probably get to it next week end. I stayed here this week end as I wanted to do things - I've never had much time this fall and would like to stay in Clarksville more this term - The weather has been summery for days and all of a sudden today there is cold ice, rain etc, so it is a good week end to be in one's own lair - my best always
Olen -
