CABLE GRANDART

Mr. H. O. Tanner
-2-
April 3, 1936

I am extremely sorry to hear that you have been having such a bad time; that is, that you have suffered bad health and a nervous breakdown and financial reverses. We all have had pretty hard going, especially the artists, during the last few years but I look for better times in the future.

Frankly, I don't think Mr. Haverty will be unreasonable if he is convinced that you are going to take care of him satisfactorily and at a definite date. He is a good business man and he doesn't like to have things left at loose ends and he certainly doesn't like feel that his deals are placing him at a disadvantage.

Awaiting your cablegram and assuring you of my very kindest personal regards, I am,

Yours truly,

Erwin S. Barrie

Manager.
