As the sheep are continually decreasing only the sheep-folds have been cleaned, and a chicken house & run is being installed at the expense of Lieut Col. Shirley and under the supervision of Private Smedly, a chicken expert.

Before Lieut. Clark left he sold to a Monsieur Thomas on the Grande Place Vittel 12, 790 kilos of hay at 75 frs the 1000 kilos as per custom of the country the amount due for this will not be collectable till November.

Seventy-five lambs & sheep will be sold tomorrow of which transaction a report will be sent later.

Manure has been hauled & we recommend again to haul - on the bottom land - ready to plow in as soon as weather permits.
