My Dear Mrs. Whitney.

Would you care to see the Indians and Mexican children I have been painting this summer. I would like to give you a special view of them before they are scattered in the exhibitions.  Could you come to the studio on Wednesday Nov 1 at about 1.30 PM? I could show you the pictures and then if you would go with us at three o'clock to the comedy theatre to hear Mme Gertrude Auld sing I am sure the afternoon would be a success for I think Mme Auld is, in the truest sense, a very great artist. In fact I would rather hear her sing than any other, however celebrated, for besides all the great technical ability and natural gifts of voice, etc, of which she has quite a sufficiency, she surely sees deep into the beauty of things and so renders her songs. If you come with us I am pretty sure you will agree
