Just a line, Flora mia, to tell you that I received your charming letter and was delighted beyond words,-first, to hear from you, second, to have you write me such an exceptionally sweet letter & third to hear that you are soon coming back. I've missed you really terribly - My soul has not been unburdened once, since you left, and I shall probably meet you with an astounding accumulation of erroneous ideas and conclusions.

I am still working hard, but am planning to take two weeks off on May 1st & go to back in my large & spacious studio in "Boxwood". Other than that, I have no plans except to work - & work till I drop in my tracks - It's a primrose path that I'm following - rocky perhaps, but there are no primroses on rebel lawns and there's always the chance that it may lead somewhere - Chi Dosa? I'm sorry I effused so fussily in Spanish the last time but I was desperate at your not writing, & was sure that at least would result in some answer - if only a curse.

I must cease now as it's late - 10 o'clock to be truthful, but that's my bed hour these days.

Goodnight, my dear. I was more pleased than I can tell you at your very nice letter.
