Now, if you permit me kindly, comes the 'bone'.

Art Notes:
page 1237 "development of American Art" , "list of the artists" (domestic, at end of the booklet)

page 12 [[strikethrough]]39[[/strikethrough]] 44 "by our best men" , "investigations".....

p.1244: "national art (American)... intensely individualized men"

p.1245: "American Energy, freshness and sincerity" p.p. "We are... in the van"....

Very Well: "I propose that any artwork that is in itself logical, cannot be contradicted from outside conditions" (Hartmann, the philosopher).

Do you then, really show, in all the above quoted senses, or do you make it a business to show, to an American public, that which is, to say, in motif American, in "independent, individual, intense, energetic, fresh, sincere" e.t.c ways and methods "development of American Art", and the men in the "lists of"... "best men"? NO, not at all.

Practically, this is not my business and I do not mean to [[strikethrough]] be so [[/strikethrough]] have the seniority to write you in such a sense. But, as artist, theoretically, as in the "Christian" spirit, as a "Visitor Welcome", as a writer and speaker (occasionally), e.t.c, I do mean to challenge your Art Notes. Between you and me.
