Simonds (for Stockholders) for restoration of "Armory Hall Buildings, Savannah Ga.; and in application of Raphael D.C. Lewin & Simon Gerstman for use of 2d & 3d floors of said Building; also on Comm'n from R.D. Arnold & others, Members of Board of Education etc., requesting restoration of the property; and on Letter of transmittal from Lt. J. Murray Hoag S.A. Com'r, forwarding blank Certificate of stock used by the "Chatham Artillery Company" of Savannah, Ga.:

Respectfully returned to Ass't Com'r of Ga., who will take up this property on his Land Report, and hold it subject to the orders of the Com'r. It may be rented temporarily, the lease to be not for fixed term, but to be terminated by the Bureau, and possession surrendered on demand immediately, on the request of the Com'r.

Respectfully returned to Lt. Hoag S.A. Com'r, Savannah Ga., inviting attention to endorsement of Gen'l Howard.  Lt. Hoag is directed to offer the two upper stories of the Armory Building and so much of yard as has been used for School purposes for rent at the price stipulated ($1000 pr. year) to the Board of Education of Savannah, in accordance with the instructions contained in endorsement of Gen'l Howard. In case they decline to rent on these terms, he will rent it to any person offering the highest rent, subject to the terms alluded to.
