Specification I In this, that Wm Cox et al, citizens of Fayette. Co. Ga. did disturb the public peace, by unlawfully entering & searching the premises of Patrick Ross, a freedman of Fayette Co. Ga, did also seize the persons of Peter Arnold & Middleton Arnold, freedmen of Fayette Co. Ga, & carry them into the woods, & then and there, with a hickory stick unlawfully beat & wound the said Peter & Middleton Arnold. This on or about the 17th day of December 1867 on or near Arnold's Plantation in |
