The undersigned is personally acquainted with Capt. Crabtree, who was distinguished by his courage and good conduct during the War - He was severely wounded and is crippled, but could probably be made useful in the Bureau. More officers are needed; and it is recommended that he be detailed for duty in the Bureau, and ordered to report at this office.
