Now my Dear Sir
I shall wait a reasonable length of time to hear from You and receive compensation for thus taking care of these orphans & unless it is done I shall be compelled to remove them from my premises

I have given you a fair statement & will wait your answer

Mr Caraway owned the four children withing mentioned previous to their emancipation  Mr Caraway is a very poor man with a number of children dependent upon him  for a Support who has no means of support except by his daily labor

2 is unable to provide for the freed children without manifest, injury to his own family -

Augustus 4 years old
Andrew 6 years old
Lee 2 years old

Greene Esq., Agent Bureau R.F.& A.L, Thomaston, Ga., for investigation and report whether Mr. Caraway owned the freed children, within mentioned, previous to their emancipation; also, as to the present situation of Mr. Caraway, whether he is unable to provide for these freed children, without manifest injury to his own family - This paper to be returned with report.
