incurred and further should it prove that said crop amount to more than liabilities incurred then said Mathews is to pay said laborers each their pro rata share agreeable to the amt of Labor performed. Total amt for labor $734.00. Sallys share $128.00 Wileys Share $278.00  Abraham $164.00 Green $164.00.  Total $734.00  Said Freedmen to remain in possession of the Crop untill a settlement is made and it is further Ordered that A Mathews pay Ten Dollars cost in this behalf expended. 

Sept 5th
Archibald Mathews has rendered in his account and made affidavit that it was impossible to attend yesterday and further petitions that his account be allowed as an offset and further that he is willing to take back the Waggon and Mules at cost (although one of the Mules has bin injured in the sum of $150.00) and he is also willing to loose the 16 percent on all money advanced and trouble and service and Fifty Dollars expense incurred in moving Wiley and family from the State of Alabama.

It is therefore ordered that Archibald Mathews account of $887.63c be allowed as an off set which haves a ballen off 153.63 cts in favor of said Mathews which is to be refunded to said Mathews by said Freedmen in proportion to the size of the family (viz) Wiley 9/16 Sally 3/16 Abraham 2/16 Green 2/16  And it is further ordered that said Mathews take immediate possession of the crop and dispose of it to the best advantage, and when gathered make a return how much each land holder recives for rent (which will give the total amt of said Crop) and should there be anything over of said Crop over the expenditures already allowed , viz $887.63c [[strikethrough]] be collected [[/strikethrough]] Such over plus if any be paid to said Freedmen and divided as above stated and it is further [[strikethrough]] stated [[/strikethrough]] ordered that said Mathews pay fifteen Dollars cost in this behalf.
