Dear Nell -

I've been here four weeks or so and never thought I'd stay this long, as I hated it when I first arrived But, I've gotten down to work and Bill Bomar who lives about 3 miles or so away came down and took me for a long ride through this trully smashing landscape. Bill has a big luxurious adobe house beautifully located.

Unlike Yaddo and MacDowell there is no sense of community here. Everyone is supposed to be self sufficent and get their own meals and not given

days are consumately (what a word) ravishing. I think Ive caught a disease called Euphoria. There has been one snow storm and there are always snow capped mountains to be seen in the distance. Let me rave on.

The air is so clear and delicious. Also the town is only five or six minutes away and a Safeway Supermarket near there.

Let me hear how you are getting on. I'm getting a phone installed on Monday hoping to reach people and to be reached. Write soon to this prisoner in solitary confinement in paradise

Love Hyde
