Dear Nell-

How nice to hear from you. It sounds beautiful where you are, and also that you are in high spirits. 

I'm sorry to say that I don't recall Evans' name at all. Could be that I met him, but no memory. I also tried another old friend of Howard's...nothing.

My life? I took-over Neil Welliver's job as chairman of the Grad School at Penn for one semester, plus keeping my three classes in N.Y.C. So ... I have no life. I've just been a teaching-machine. But, as of December, I stop going to Penn., so life will be more full of other things.

I had a small heart-attack last July, but all tests keep showing no discernable damage. So, I'm lucky.

Fischbach Gallery still exists, but who knows about the future. The lease-problems in that
