E H Weirman S.A.C. stating that he has discharged, subject to approval, D.H. Sayers clerk, for Habitual Drunkness, and recommends for appointment Chas. S Weirman for clerk. With remark. Cannot recommend that a clerk should be employed at this late day, who would have to be furnished transportation home so soon, but recommend Mr Weirman's appointment without the privilege of return transportation  The revocation of Mr Sayers appointment is approved. |

Official copy with endorsement furnished C.Q.M. for his information. | Little Rock. Aug 31st 1868. States that transportation has been issued to Revd. E.K. Miller, Asst Supt of Education from Little Rock Ark to Milwaukee Wis (it being impracticable for Mr Miller to wait) and requests the approval of the same. The application for the revocation of appointment was forwarded the 10th inst. |
