My dears,

Here I am in Apartment 1601 where there is not yet order but all of this I hope to face in August since, as you know, I will be away from the 13th through the end of the month. Louise will be in on the 19th without me and we will resume our normal schedule in August.

I had all the paintings hung in the living room and three days after the large work by Enrique crashed down (fortunately, no one was in the apartment when it occured [[occurred]]) and of course both frame and glass broke. Actually, it was the frame that gave way. It was too light to support the glass when it was hanging.

I think an entirely new frame should be made but until we are all together I will do nothing but leave it safely on the floor.

I look forward to a time when we will all be together here so that we can go over some loose threads and I certainly am not going to hang any more works of art until we are all together.

More soon.
All my love,

Mildred Constantine
