Dear Sheila,
Here it is Wednesday and I still have no word from my doctors on the results of the MRI but I am pursuing it.

Recalling our conversation about the exhibition what we discussed was the following:

We will seek to borrow the "White Letter" 1962, from the Museum of Modern Art; the "Dark Ink Banisteriopsis" 1968, from the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the "White Panel" 1980, from the Chicago Art Institute.

The other categories are small works, "meanderings", drawings - gouache, twisting panels, "eccentric" panels, kaleidoscope, small mounds. If there are any more categories to be added we can do that when we are together in Paris.

Do you know Catherine David who has just been appointed head of Documenta for 1997? Given the nature of exhibitions past there is enough queer stuff in it for me to talk to her about conservation and preservation. She apparently has been at the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume since 1990. Maybe I can arrange to see her when I am in Paris. (of course video, etc.) -handwritten

The household problems go on. I wonder if in his letter Melvin mentioned things like the refrigerator and shower. I find I must defrost the refrigerator every four days to avoid disaster. So before I pursue these with the office across the street I am wondering if Melvin did mention these facts.

I've finally bought new outlets for all lamps, machines, etc. (hand-written)
