Dearest Mamma

I hope you had a nice smooth crossing and that you are all rested.  I miss you awfully and wish you were here.

Yesterday we went to the hospital to get Miss Doane and I got weighed.  It was 128 lbs which I think is much too much.  We saw Dr Scarlett and gave him the newest poem.  I also went to the eculist and he said
