The top of four pages cut from a letter written by Mrs. James Gibson's mother, Elizabeth of Dublin, Ireland. (She was Mrs. H.P.'s grandmother and the great, great, great grandmother of the Miachelleses. (?) It was written Sept. 19, 1822. It is addressed to her son Wood, who lived in New York. Her other two sons whom she mentions, James and George. James, Mrs. H.P.'s father came from Ireland to Philadelphia and George went to British Guiana in South America to work on plantations, where he died.

Letter written June 28, 1819 to Mrs. James Gibson (Mrs. H.P.'s mother) by Mrs. Abigal Ritter (?) of Napon (?), probably a small town in Pennsylvania. She was visiting her mother and family in Philadelphia. (She was Elizabeth Reilly before her marriage.) In the letter it says "kiss Elizabeth". This was Mrs. H.P. then 8 years old. The Gibsons moved from Pennsylvania to Cincinnati.]
