give it up for the benefit of sufferers by the awful visitation which has fallen so heavily upon your country. I sincerely hope and pray that this calamity may be of short duration and that an abundant harvest may soon come to the city of the thousands who in all probability will otherwise perish. 
Having your permission I may hereafter write to you again shall I decide upon some new subject for your consideration I shall also let you know how the marble for my Eve turns out. In the mean time I have the honor to be most respectfully and truly your Lordships obedt. servant
