Mr. Arthur G. Dove,
Geneva,
New York.

Dear Mr. Dove:
Not having heard from you I am concerned whether you ever received my long letter with check representing the difference between the pride of one of the smaller pictures and the Bessie of New York. I also told you that the monthly check had been sent. Furthermore I went into the question of your future storage and suggested that you make a group of pictures which you liked yourself and which we could store a larger number at least for a while which would give me an opportunity to study the work you had done before I began to see your exhibitions. I still hope that I will find timer to write about you at some length but hardly feel qualified as yet to do so. During the winter we hope that you and Mrs. Dove will be coming to Washington and that we can have a good talk. Trusting that all goes well with you but in any case let us gear of the safe arrival of the letter and check.

Sincerely yours
Duncan Phillips
