The heat rises in layers. Tin roofs of houses on sticks, catch the sun and their is the first Temple of Vat?, not so grand as the ones later on in Bangkok with a great pitched tile roof, bird like gables, concentric squares of green orange brick and deep gold. Stucco is newly white washed and fresco'd and there are Cheddi's and a great wave of heat rises from the plain.
