put all your trust in me, really you can. I'm proud of you, Mother; as proud as any son of any mother. And you're going to be proud of me too. Where I've failed before, I shall triumph, now.

American boys are out there fighting, ten million of them. There fighting and dying for things they believe in. Men are giving there lives that those at home might do the things they will never get to. And they shan't fight in vain. I won't let them down.

Some day you can be proud of me Mother.

I find and read this again in 1960. I keep and cherish this and we are so very proud of you, and glad for you that you have made such a success of your life. You have a nice way of showing your love always remember the special days with nice gifts that we treasure.
