I regret to hand in my resignation as a member of the Society of American Artists, but my duties as an active member of the Water Color Society, the New York Etching Club and National Academy of Design and on other committees connected with our profession make it [[strikethrough]] uterly [[/strikethrough]] impossible for me to assume my responsibilities as a member of the Society of American Artists
