OTIS ART INSTITUTE March 1, 1943 Mr. Georg Lober Corresponding Secretary National Academy of Design 1083 Fifth Avenue New York, N. Y. Dear Mr. Lober: I have been informed through letters from friends and articles appearing in the New York Herald and New York Times that I am the recipient of the $500 Altman Prize for figure in the current Academy Exhibition. Since I have had no confirmation from you and since one of the papers listed me as being from Milwaukee I have been wondering if I could have made a mistake in giving you my address. Milwaukee was formerly my home and it occurs to me that from force of habit I might have written the wrong address. If such is the case I should like to give you my present and correct address which is 1903½ Orchid Avenue, Los Angeles. I do hope that no letters from you have gone astray due to any carelessness and stupidity on my part. Sincerely yours, Paul Clemens Paul Clemens PC:bg 2401 WILSHIRE BOULEVARD LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA PHONE DREXEL 5288 DIVISION OF ART INSTRUCTION, LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY, SCIENCE AND ART
