Dear Mrs. Twachtman,
I am sorry that I have left room for misunderstanding in the question of frame on the "Sleep" picture. In my telephone talk I think no mention was made of frame at all. The point I wished to make was that you would not have to pay a commission out of the net price to you that we agreed upon.

Col. Twachtman authorized us to frame the picture when we got it and it was only an oversight that this bill was not sent you quite awhile ago. The sale part of the transaction was entirely separate and referred to the framed picture. At the time you probably did not think, if you thought of it at all, that the frame had not been paid for. Is this all right?

Sincerely yours,

Mrs. J. H. Twachtman,
Greenwich, Conn.
