Dear Sir  Nicholas Ware of this county called to our office to day and requested me to write to to Gen'l Tillson - asking permission that cases in which his sons are interested may be tried at this Agency - Capt. Wells 13th Comr Vol. made I think three attempts to arrest those boys and could not succeed, but he N Ware says that if Gen'l Tillson consents to have the complaints investigated here the boys shall com up. You will please find annexed a copy of the Affadavits, made in Augusta, and now on file in our office.

Augusta Ga Nov 29th 1865

Wiley Benson Freedman living in Wilkes Co. Ga about 10 miles from Washington & one mile from Jacksons crop road, on Oath says that on Saturday night November twenty fifth about midnight a party of white men came to my house where I was having a dance & frolic. I saw and recognised Vince Thurmond, Sim Ware & Billy Ware. They demanded my fire arms. I gave them a shot gun the only arm I had and then they went away. The next morning I tracked the Wares horses and asked for my gun. I saw Mr Nick Ware, Sim Ware, Billy Ware, Ned Ware & Vince Thurmond at Nick Wares house, and demanded the return of my shot
