We, whose names are affixed below, do believe and declare that the difficulty which occurred on Monday the 12th inst., between E.L. Jackson, agent of the Freedmen's Bureau for Campbell County, and William N. King, of Palmetto, was purely and entirely of a Personal Character, and in no way connected with the administration of the Bureau.
We furthermore certify that the said W.N. King has frequently assisted the agents of the Bureau in their arduous labors.
March 22nd, 1866.
