Your dispatch dated the 1st inst is received In reply I am directed by the Act Asst Comr to say there is a large demand for labor at prices ranging from $15 for full male hands and $10 for full female hands per month Board & lodging.

I will order to any agent you may send here any assistance in procuring laborers but cannot furnish transportation outside of this State
