Dr. W. R. Valentiner,
Detroit Institute of Arts,
East Jefferson Ave.,
Detroit, Mich.

Dear Dr. Valentiner,

I have just arrived back in New York, and I am taking this opportunity of writing you these few lines to thank you for your kindness and courtesy to me when I was in Detroit.

In spite of the rather disappointing results of our two exhibitions which we have had in your city, we, nevertheless, feel that sooner or later that the buyers in Detroit will come to appreciate the type and quality of things that we have, and with this idea in view, as I told you, we shall probably come out with another very important exhibition in the late spring.

In the meanwhile, with my kindest regards in which both Germain and René Seligmann join, and hoping to see you the next time you come to New York, believe me to be

Yours sincerely,
