Dr. W. R. Valentiner,
The Detroit Institute of Arts,
Detroit, Mich.

Dear Dr. Valentiner,

I acknowledge receipt of your very kind letter of September 28th. I immediately sent out a straight cable to Paris, and I do not doubt for a moment that they will do whatever is in their power to be agreeable to you.

On the 10th of October we are going to have an exhibition at the Sign of the Mermaid, which will last a fortnight. We will show Gothic and Renaissance tapes-tries and needle point panels of the finest quality.

I am looking forward to seeing you on that occasion, as I will be going to Detroit for a few days. Mr. Trevor will be there permanently.

It will be a great pleasure for us to cooperate with your exhibition of French 18th century art for the month of January.

With best regards, kindly believe me,

Yours very sincerely,
