Dr. W. R. Valentiner
Zelten 19
Berlin N.W.

My dear Dr. Valentiner,-

It was my privilege to see Mr. I. Pollak a few days ago, who told me that he had seen you in Berlin a short time ago, and that you did not intend to come over to America this season. It is a great disappointment indeed, as I was looking forward to seeing you here. As such will not be the case, I will go and see you in Berlin. I will probably be back in Europe end of February, and one of the first things I want to do is to go to Germany, where I have not been in so long, and I feel sure that conditions by then will allow me to take that trip. I will then go to Berlin and look you up there.

Needless to say that I will be glad to contribute to your very interesting publication "Art in America" as in the past, and I would be glad to have a note from you on the subject, telling me whether this is agreeable to you, that is whether it is still your publication, or whether you would prefer my contributing in another shape or form.

Hoping to hear from you soon, and with the best compliments of the season, pray believe me,

Yours very sincerely,
