Dear Dr. Heil:

I regretted very much indeed not to have seen you during my few days' stay in Detroit, and I sincerely hope that you got over the flu by now and have recovered completely.

I trust you found the COUTURE in good condition and are also in possession of the folder of this painting which I left on your desk, together with the photograph of the small CRANACH portrait.

If you have a minute to spare, do write me a few lines sometimes, as it is always nice to hear from you.

Once more, speedy recovery, and kindest regards to you and Mrs. Heil.

Yours very sincerely,

Dr. Walter Heil,
Detroit Institute of Arts,
Detroit, Michigan.
