Dear Mrs. Weibel:

It was a great pleasure indeed to have seen you in Detroit and I enjoyed extremely the time we spent together.

With these lines I am sending you the data about the tapestry representing "Tancred and Chlorinde" which I left with you for exhibition at the Museum. I furthermore have pleasant news for you: The selling price of this tapestry has been reduced to $30,000. Should the Museum be interested in it, Mr. Seligmann agreed on quoting you $24,000.

Together with the data for the tapestry, I am sending you the translation of a letter from Mr. Goebel to the former owner of this tapestry; this letter is quite interesting.

I hope this will be satisfactory to you, and I need not tell you that I would be only too glad to see progress in this matter, and that I appreciate all of your very kind endeavors in connection with this transaction.

Trusting that these lines will reach you in the very best of health, I meanwhile remain with my kindest regards

Yours very sincerely,

Mrs. C. A. Weibel,
Detroit Institute of Arts,
Detroit, Michigan.
