- 4 - divided by two palm trees and the central scene, Dancing Round the Maypole, is framed by two incidents of a wolf hunt. It sounds absurd but all things can happen in a fairy tale or in Arcadia. The dogs, rabbits, goats, and wolves seem to mark this composition as Huet's favourite. More than elsewhere we find here his unaffected grace, which, added to the spirited elegance of Boucher, bring to us, in this set of Beauvais tapestries, a glimpse of the vanishing Rococo.
