RS/M

October 10th, 1935.

My dear Mr. Richardson,

Just a line to ask you to let me know when you will be back in Detroit. I have here the photograph of an extremely fine Segonzac which I will send you, with particulars, as soon as I hear from you.

I wrote a long letter to Mr. Tannahill telling him about our purchases. We have acquired some very fine 19th century paintings - examples by Seurat, Van Gogh, Cézanne, and a very beautiful pastel portrait by Manet. We found these pictures with the greatest difficulty; however, I am pleased to say that the prices which we will be able to quote will be very reasonable compared to those which are quoted on the international market.

Hoping to see you soon, and kindly asking you to remember me to Mrs. Richardson,

With my best regards, I am

Yours sincerely,

(René Seligmann)

E. P. Richardson, Esq.,

Detroit, Michigan.
