Jan. 29th, 1935. My dear Richardson: It was with deep regret that I learned of the very sad reason which called you away from Detroit. I want to extend to you my deepest sympathy and tell you also how sorry I am not to have seen you. I hope I will soon have the opportunity of being in your city again, and of then seeing you and Mrs. Richardson. With my kindest regards and thanking you again for all the trouble you took for me, kindly believe me Yours sincerely, (René Seligmann) E. P. Richardson, Esq., Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit, Michigan. GS
