The son of the owner of the Constantin Guys having died recently, we were fortunate enough to acquire this drawing.

I would be very glad to give you his name - a very well known one amongst great collectors - if I were in a position to do so, but I have been asked not to mention his name because he is not supposed to ever have to part with anything.

I hope that the above information will be of great interest to you, and my most earnest desire is that this fine work will remain in Detroit.
