Dear Dr. Valentiner:

I just received a copy of "The Art Quarterly" which I see is the first number of a new publication and on which I want to send you my heartiest congratulations.

Your dynamic nature, I realize, constantly needs new outlets, and you remain true to your tradition by putting it to the service of the cause of art. All who share in this great love, applaud this new enterprise as I do.

I hasten to send you herein, the subscription blank with my check.

Do let me know when you intend coming to New York, as it always affords me so much pleasure to be able to chat with you.

With best regards, I am,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Séligmann)

Dr. W. R. Valentiner,
