January 24th, 1938

Dear Jack:

Many thanks for your good lines of January 21st. The drawing has also been received in good condition.

I am glad that you and those at Detroit liked the la Fresnaye drawing so much. Naturally, I am a bit disappointed that you did not decide to keep it. Nevertheless, I have written to Paris, and sometime within the next month should receive some abstract la Fresnaye water colors which seems to be what you want. Many of those in the Petit Palais show last summer were ours.

I will let you know as soon as these arrive, and if you are coming to New York, will show them to you here, otherwise could arrange to send them out to you.

With all good wishes,

As ever -

Yours sincerely,

(Robert M. Levy)
