Dear Bob:

I am writing to ask what water-colors or wash drawings you have in stock by de la Fresnaye and Guys. Perhaps, you could send me photographs and a price list, or if possible, you might even send me on approval three or four examples by each man which I would appreciate greatly.

I am sorry that on my last trip to New York I did not have time to stop in again at your gallery. For the past month, I have been more or less helpless with an annoying broken arm, which I managed to fracture at the revived sport of indoor-roller-skating, especially a nuisance because it is my right arm. However, the caste comes off today which will be a relief.

My best both to you and Helen and looking forward to hearing from you.

As ever,
Jack.
