RS/M √ January 19th, 1936. Dear Doctor Valentiner, Just a line to tell you that I have not forgotten you. I have written to Mr. Waegen to ask him who his friend was who owned the tapestries. I will let you know as soon as I hear - but to Germain's recollection, it was a gentleman in Europe. I got in touch with Mr. Untermeyer's nephew and Mr. Untermeyer is in California. I "sicked" the nephew after Mr. Utermeyer's son, and will also keep you posted as soon as anything happens. It was so charming to be with you in Detroit for a few days. Kindly believe me Very sincerely yours, (René Seligmann) Dr. W. R. Valentiner, Detroit Institute of Arts, DETROIT - MICHIGAN. RL
