You were very kind to think of me in connection with the article on Casanova in Pantheon.

Actually, I saw the article and read it with great interest when I was still in Missouri. I also saw the two fine paintings by this artist at Partridges in London.

Your warm wishes concerning my new appointment are gratefully received.  I shall hope to see you soon in New York.
