Dear Mr. Richardson:

Do have my thanks for your very kind lines of January 21st, and let me say first that I appreciate your intention of sending us a check, a "very small" one, as well as twenty-five reprints of our article. As you so correctly state, this will amply take care of the courtesy gesture we feel we owe to those who have helped us in our research.

By same mail I am writing to Prince Raoul de Broglie, putting the question up to him, giving him the details of the prices of the estimated cost of such reprints. However, as you assume, I doubt whether so small a French Museum would be in a position to buy them outright. Be this as it may, it is kind of you to have gone into such details.

With personal regards,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman
