January 26th, 1956

My dear Mrs. Cochrane:

On November 16th, 1955, I sent to Professor Martin S. Soria a photograph of a painting by Zurbaran. A short while ago I have written anew to Professor Soria in this connection, and the letter having been forwarded to him in Spain, he answered me that he had not received this photograph and recommended my writing you in this connection.

If as I hope you have this photograph in your possession, I would be much obliged to you for returning it to me as in turn I have to send it back to the owner of this painting.

Thanking you in advance for your courtesy,

Sincerely yours,

Germain Seligman

Mrs. Daphne Cochrane,
