Dear Mrs, Tellegen:
Your letter of October 25,requesting additional information referring to paintings by VAN GOGH, for a new edition of DE LA FAILLE's catalogue, was duly received.

Re; De la Faille, Vol. I, #718 - "Le Pré vert à St. Rémy" - I am sorry to say that I am unable to give you the name of the present owner, for it is unknown to me. According to my Firm's records, it was shipped to Europe shortly before the beginning of World War II, addressed to Mr. Hugo Moser, who had retained an interest in it, and sold by him, I gather. To the data indicated in the above book should be added that it was exhibited in 1936, #319, at the Great Lakes Exhibition, the Cleveland Museum.

Though you do not mention another painting which my Firm owned, it may be of interest to you to have the following. [[?], Vol.I, #773- "Sous-bois" to which description should now be listed:

Collections: Gilbert Fuller, Boston.
Jacques Seligmann & Co.,Inc.,New York.
Mary E. Johnston, Glendale, Ohio

The painting is now, I believe, in the Cincinnati Museum, Ohio?
Also, to the list of exhibitions shouldebe completed to include:

1926, London, Leicester Galleries, #11
1929, Cambridge, Fogg Art Museum, "French Paintings", #90
1936, Boston, "Van Gogh", #4 (addenda)
1936, Boston, "Art in New England", #57, PL. XXVIII

Trusting the above will be of help in your undertaking,
Yours very sincerely,

Germain Seligman
