Rijksbureau Voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie Netherlands Institute For Art History Korte Vijverberg 7 - The Hague October 25, 1967 Jacques Seligman Art Gallery 5 E 57th Street New York (22) N.Y. Dear Sirs, We are working on a new edition of De la Faille's Van Gogh catalogue and try to bring it up to date as far as possible. In the catalogue of the exhibition "French masters from Courbet to Seurat" which has been on view in your Gallery in 1937, I found that you were the owner of no. 19 Green cornfield behind the asylum at St. Rémy, Faille no. 718 (Hyp.ed. no. 615). Could you tell us if this work is still in your possession and if not, where the painting might be now. We are also very obliged for any remarks which you may have to add regarding this painting or any other work by Van Gogh that your firm might have handled. It is always possible that De la Faille is incomplete or incorrect on the point of measures, signature or pedigree. Thanking you for your kind help, I am Yours sincerely, Annet Tellegen - Hoogendoorn Mrs. A. Tellegen Van Gogh Documentation [[image]] 120306* - 29
